Frequently Asked Questions – General

The address for the Park is 1761 Monticello Rd., Madison, GA 30650. The Park is six-tenths of a mile south of I-20 at exit 113.

The park spans 530 acres, of which 282 acres are designated pastures for our animals.

Georgia Safari emphasizes conservation and education, combining a safari-style experience (open pastures, naturalistic habitats, guided tours) rather than cages — offering a more immersive and wildlife-focused experience.

No – guests of all ages are welcome.

The park is open every day from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, year-round except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Yes — tours operate rain or shine. However, in case of heavy rain, lightning, or very cold temps (for animal safety), certain animals (e.g. giraffe) may be held indoors and tours may be delayed/rescheduled.

Smoking / vaping is prohibited during tours and in lodging units. The facility is smoke-free except for designated smoking areas for lodging guests.

No — pets are not allowed. Only certified service animals (with proof) are allowed, and only under strict guidelines / handler supervision.

The park does not offer weather-related refunds. If you must reschedule lodging, there is a $200 transfer fee. If the park cancels, you receive a full refund.

For tours — arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. For lodging — check-in is at 4:00 PM; check-out at 11:00 AM.

Contact the reservations team as early as possible if you need to reschedule. Same-day changes are not guaranteed.

Yes — Georgia Safari offers private/group tours, corporate events, and special event bookings (with reservations in advance).

We very strongly recommend making your reservation in advance to secure a time slot for your stay.  We cannot guarantee availability of your preferred experience if you choose a same-day reservation.

The Park adheres to the standards set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can fully partake in our lodging and touring offeringsOur public spaces and safari touring vehicles are designed to be wheelchair-friendly for guests with mobility challenges and lodging is equipped with ADA-compliant amenities to offer a comfortable and welcoming stay. 

We currently do not provide dining services at our park, but there are a number of restaurants available in beautiful Madison, GA within a 5-minute drive of the property.  Additionally, the Outpost and the Lodge offer snacks and drinks for purchase. 

Yes. Water bottle filling stations are located at the Outpost and near the Restrooms in the back of the Park.

Yes. One of our restrooms is equipped with a baby changing station and is spacious enough for nursing. 

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the Park.

Yes. Enrichment is an important component of our animal care program and we always are looking for ways to enhance the lives of our animals. We welcome anyone who shares our vision and wishes to contribute to visit our Wish List. 

No, we do not currently offer shuttle or similar transport services, but services like Uber and Lyft are permitted on property for pickup/drop-off. 

Lodging Chaperone Policy:
All lodging guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone who is 21 years of age or older. The chaperone is required to present a valid, government-issued photo ID showing their date of birth at check-in. The chaperone must remain on-site for the duration of the lodging stay and be reachable by phone at all times.
Tours & Park Experiences Chaperone Policy:
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone who is 18 years of age or older. One (1) chaperone may supervise up to ten (10) guests under 18. The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo ID at entry, remain in the park for the duration of the visit, and be reachable by phone at all times.

You must be 21 years of age (valid state-issued driver’s license with photo or state-issued identification card with photo required by state law) to possess or consume alcoholic beverages at The ParkNo outside alcohol may be brought into The Park except by Lodging guests and only in reasonable amounts for the number of guests in their PartyFor Park activities and events where alcohol is served, no one is permitted to take alcoholic beverages outside Park grounds. 

On the safari tour we have a wide variety of species from around the world. We are growing rapidly!
